Overview of the
Site Based Fitchburg State University C.A.G.S and
M. Ed. Program in Educational LeadershipThe Master of Education program in Educational Leadership and Management Program prepares the student to meet the standards of Massachusetts Educator Initial Licensure as either a Supervisor/Director (P-12) or School Principal (P-6, 5-8, 9-12). This program offers courses and experience that equip school administrators with the skills and competencies necessary for becoming effective educational leaders.
The C.A.G.S. program in Educational Leadership and Management prepares the student that already possesses a Master's Degree to meet the standards of Massachusetts Educator Initial License as a Supervisor/Director(P-12) or School Principal (P-6, 5-8, 9-12).
The M. Ed. Degree and CAGS Program total 39 credits will be made up as follows:

Up to 6 credits may be transferred upon Fitchburg State University approval into the C.A.G.S Program or M Ed Program in Educational Leadership. A maximum of 6 credits may come from another accredited institution. All transfer classes must be an exact match to classes included in the CAGS and Master of Education Plan of Study.
Tuition Policy
The cost of the Program is 39 credits x $300 per credit, for a total of $11,700. Tuition is paid in three equal installments. The first is paid at the beginning of the program and the remaining two payments in 6 month intervals.There is a $25 application fee to Fitchburg State University and there is a non-refundable $125 application fee payable to Catherine Leahy Brine. Each course has a book or material fee set by each course instructor.
